- Use of the Midnight Black Suit is prohibited on all maps.
- All unlockables in HITMAN™ World of Assassination are permitted. Each participant is responsible for unlocking any starting locations and/or weapons required to complete a spin prior to a match.
- The use of reskins for Fiber Wires & firearms is permitted. When Fiber Wire is a required condition, any reskin may be selected from the inventory to fulfill it - aswell as Earphones etc. that can be found on the map.
- Smuggling in-map melee weapons (such as a Broadsword) rather than collecting them on the map to be used in fulfilling a kill condition is permitted. The item must be identical in name.
The use of items (excepting Fiber Wires & firearms) that are similar in name is prohibited. For example, "White Katana" and "Masamune" are not the same as "Katana".
- The disguise texture worn when a target’s death animation finishes (not when it is registered by the server) is the one that counts for validating the kill.
- Any variation of the sedative / tranq glitch is prohibited (sedating a target through any means and killing them during the sedation animation or after the body was found, resulting in SA being maintained when it should not). Example (video credit: MrMike).
- Any lures that make NPCs follow 47 instead of the initial distraction are prohibited.
- Illegal weapon lures are prohibited (picking a weapon up as a civilian turns to report it, resulting in them following 47 indefinitely). Example (video credit: MrMike).
- "Mudshots" are prohibited (using pause buffering to shoot open locked doors with a semi-automatic pistol).
- "Sticky rat mines" are prohibited (placing a weapon on rat poison and moving around with the item in hand, resulting in NPCs following 47).
- Intentionally causing an infinite loop glitch to freeze an NPC in place is prohibited. Examples of this would include (but are not limited to) infinite illegal weapon pickups, infinite snail pickups, and infinite audio distraction lures. Note: Enforcement of this rule is up to admin discretion. If the glitch was done unintentionally and did not give the player an obvious advantage, then it is okay and the player does not have to restart.
- The use of pickup glitches on single-use items (such as the "Bubble Queen" Gum Pack) in order to re-use them is prohibited.
- If a target is killed by the game specifically for being out of the playable area for a period of time, the kill counts as a "Fall" kill, in addition to "DUMP" and "PUSH" prompts.
- "Drowning" kills must be performed with a "DROWN" prompt.
- "Falling Object" kills must be performed by an object landing on or very close to the target.
- "Impact Explosive (Weapon)" kills must be performed by the item being thrown, shot, or hit by a target who is opening a door. The use of explosives for remote detonation is prohibited.
- Use of the large item concealment glitch is prohibited. Example (video credit: clckr)
- The placement of a poison vial on top of (or in place of) a glass/cup/beverage vessel, causing the target to consume the poison directly, is prohibited. Example (video credit: Agent 420)
- Any glitch which causes an NPC to pick up a micro taser is prohibited, as they are not intended to pick them up by design. The only exception is placing a micro taser in a mailbox in Whittleton Creek to be picked up by an NPC. Example (video credit: Mando)
- Any variation of particle boosting (using an item's particles to boost 47 upward, with or without the use of a Breaching Charge) is prohibited.
- Any variation of "cover aim" boosting (boosting via aiming, using a prompt, or doing any other action while in cover) is prohibited.
- Sedation of a target during a poison animation so that the kill is postponed is prohibited.
- Use of the Oil Canister to drop down over a ledge by simultanously pressing two prompts is prohibited.
All targets (with the exception of Hokkaido's Erich Soders) receive kills from the same condition pool, which includes lethal melees, firearms, explosives and accidents. For full details, refer to the Spin Algorithm section in the HITMAPS Documentation.
As of RRWC 2024, certain targets may also be eliminated using unique kill methods, which are cutscene-based or otherwise special methods to eliminate targets. When applicable, a unique method can be used to fulfill a standard condition, indicated in brackets. For example, Silvio Caruso’s Destroy the Seaplane kill is also a valid Explosion (Accident) kill. The list of currently permitted unique kills is as follows:
- Silvio Caruso, Sapienza
- Shoot Silvio through the Telescope [Respective Firearm]: Performed by opening the observatory and shooting Silvio's eye through the telescope lens using any firearm.
- Destroy the Seaplane [Explosion (Accident)]: Performed by destroying the seaplane while Silvio is escaping, typically using a firearm, remote explosive, or cannon.
- Sean Rose, Colorado
- Explosive Watch Battery [Explosion (Accident)]: Performed by detonating the explosive battery in Sean’s smartwatch as featured in the Doomsday Watch mission story.
- Yuki Yamazaki, Hokkaido
- Overheat the Sauna: Performed by blocking the door to or leaving an unconscious Yuki in the sauna after overheating it.
- Sierra Knox, Miami
- Shoot the Car: Performed by destroying Sierra's racecar with any firearm. Note that this kill, and only this kill is doable while she's in her car (while it appears in instinct).
- Rico Delgado, Santa Fortuna
- Feed to the Hippo [Fall]: Performed by pushing or dumping Rico into the hippo enclosure.
- Jorge Franco, Santa Fortuna
- Dump in the Cocaine Machine: Performed by pushing or dumping Jorge into the cocaine machine after it has been activated, as featured in the Half Baked mission story.
- Athena Savalas, New York
- Athena Savalas' Award: Performed by using a prompt on the award located beside the gramophone in Athena’s office while she is nearby.
- Steven Bradley, Haven Island
- Explosive on Water Scooter [Explosion (Accident)]: Performed by detonating an explosive in the water scooter while Steven is using it, as featured in The Water Horse mission story.
